Plate It Up with Green - Recipe and Photos by Jill Slater
Green is the sign that spring is on its way. Every season is the right one for flowers, but spring reminds us that bloomage is at its optimal. This season flower enthusiasts can decorate with green flowers. If green is not your thing, use flowers in colors that are pleasing to you and your décor.

Flowers come alive with possibilities when placed on a dinner plate with decorative stones. The flowers are held into position with glass votive holders that are set among the stones.

Materials:

  • One dinner plate
  • Three glass votive holders
  • Flowers- approximately 9 stems of green carnations. Again, if green doesn't suit your needs, use blooms that turn you on!
  • Decorative stones, enough to fill the bottom of the dinner plate
Directions:
Step 1 - Fill the glass votives with water.

Step 2 - Cut the flower stems very short so that they just peer over the top of each votive holder. Now fill each votive full of flowers. 3 per votive holder usually works well.

Step 3 - Now set the flower-filled votives on the plate.

Step 4 - Now set the flower-filled votives on the plate. Finally, fill the bottom of the plate with stones.

Happy Flower Arranging,
