Photo Finish - Recipe by Jill Slater

Materials:

Photo Finish
  • One vase - Approximately 8-inches tall x 5-inches in diameter
  • One special photograph
  • 4 stems of the following Chrysanthemums: White daisy, pink daisy, lavender daisy & green button
  • 10 stems baby's breath
  • 6 rubberbands
  • 1 yard decorative ribbon
  • Hole punch
  • Floral clippers, scissors and floral food/preservative
  • OPTIONAL: Photo Mug purchased as favorite retail store
Directions:
Step 1 - Fill the container with water that has been treated with floral preservative/food.

Step 2 - Organize flowers by variety and color. (Example- Pink daisy mums are collected as one bunch.) Make 3 bunches from the 10 stems of baby's breath.

Step 3 - Rubberband the stems of the individual bunches.

Step 4 - Now the fun begins:
Combine bunches of flowers by holding them in your hands (if right-handed hold the flowers in left hand — vice-versa for lefty's). Arrange the flowers so that the blooms are all at the same height. Cut the stems so that just the heads of the flowers poke out over the edge of the vase.

Step 5 - Remove any rubberbands.

Step 6 - Use decorative ribbon and hole punch to hang photograph from vase.

Note: For smaller containers such as mug or glass, use fewer flowers. If you store-bought the Photo-Mug, follow the directions for inserting photo.
