- 1 large basket, approximately 9-inches tall x 8-inches deep x 8-inches wide
- Waterproof liner to fit the interior of the basket
- 3 Bricks floral foam
- 7 Rubberbands
- 4 handfuls green moss
- 1 Tallish birthday candle
- Flowers - 4 stems orange lilies, 5 stems curly willow, 5 stems Bells of Ireland, 9 stems sunflowers, 20 stems tree fern and 3 stems purple statice
- Floral clippers, knife and flower food/preservative
| Directions:
Step 1 - Soak the floral foam for at least 30 minutes in water that has been treated with flower food/preservative.
Step 2 - Insert the waterproof liner into the basket. Now cut the foam to fit the liner.
Step 3 - Floral Insertions: Split the tree fern into bunches of 5 stems. Now make 4 separate bunches and rubberband stems together. Cut the stems to about 6" in length and insert them throughout the foam to start to cover it.
Step 4 - Rubberband the curly willow and insert this bunch into the back/right side of the foam.
Step 5 - Rubberband the Bells of Ireland together (cutting their stems about half of the height of the curly willow) and insert the bunch into the back/left side of the foam.
Step 6 - Make 2 bunches of lilies (2 stems each) and rubberband them together. Cut their stems to about 6" in length and insert one bunch into the center of the foam and the other bunch center/left.
Step 7 - The sunflowers are rubberbanded into 3 bunches and inserted into the back (leave this bunch tall) and in the front and left side (cut these bunches to about 4"-5" in length.)
Step 8 - Lastly, rubberband the statice; cut it short and insert it into the front/ center of the foam. Use the moss to cover any floral foam. Keep the floral foam moist, adding the water/flower food solution as needed.
