Materials: for one personalized placecard

- 1 artichoke
- Approximately 4 fruits and/or veggies of your choice (i.e. cantaloupe, onion, potatoes, bell pepper, gourds etc.)
- 1 stem lavender freesia
- optional - 2 stems ivy or gaylex leaves
- 1 watertube
- Paper placecard
- Old fashioned vegetable peeler (the long kind for carrots or potatoes)
- Floral preservative, knife and clippers

| Directions:

Step 1 - Cut the stem off the artichoke. Also cut the leaf end off about 1-inch.

|
Step 2 - With vegetable peeler, scoop out center to make a long deep hole.
|
|
|
Step 3 - Fill the watertube with water that has been treated with floral preservative.
|
|
|
Step 4 - Cut the freesia to about 3-inches in length and insert it into the watertube. Insert the ivy or gaylex leaves low into the watertube. Now insert the water tube into the hole of the artichoke.

|
Step 5 - Write the guests' name on the place card and allow the artichoke leaves to hold it in place.
