Materials:
|
- One 10 3/4 oz. soup can
- 12-inch x 12-inch cork tile (available at craft stores)
- Hot glue gun and glue
- 5 stems pink alstroemeria
- 1 yard decorative ribbon, 1/2 inch wide
- Small note/ reminder and pencil
- 1 thumb-tack
- Floral clippers, scissors and floral preservative

Step 1 - Cut the cork tile diagonally across (corner to corner), so that the tile wraps neatly around the soup can.

|
|
Step 2 - Wrap the tile around the soup can, it will rise above the can. Use hot glue to glue the cork tile to itself when wrapped around can.

|
Step 3 - Tie the ribbon around the cork in a bow, as you would tie your shoe.
|
|
|
Step 4 - Fill the can full of water that has been treated with floral preservative.
|
|
|
Step 5 - Cut the alstroemeria so that the blooms peer over the top the cork tile.
|
|
|
Step 6 - Pin the note onto the cork. (i.e. 'School begins in 3 days.')
