Bobbing Apples - Recipe and Photos by Jill Slater
Take a tip from Mother Nature and decorate with the color green. Green is currently one of the most popular and stylish color trends happening on the design scene today. It's no wonder, as refreshing neutral green tones evoke calm and tranquility.

An easy way to add green and new life to your surroundings is to accessorize with green flowering blossoms. Perhaps surprisingly, many flowers are now grown green in order to keep up with new design directions. Green roses, green carnations and green chrysanthemums are some of the most popular green varieties.

To compliment these unique blooms combine them with green fruit. Fruit and flowers have long been paired. Miniature bobbing green apples combined with either floating green 'spider' chrysanthemums or lime green standard carnations make delicious duets on the dining table. These arrangements are simple and inexpensive to create and will make all your friends, who admire them, "green with envy."

Green flowers can be purchased all year long, but you may be especially inclined around St. Patrick's Day. Red flowers, apples and candles are all you need to light up the Fourth of July!
