Candied Chrysanthemum - Recipe by Jill Slater
Candied Chrysanthemum

Materials:

  • 1 clear glass vase V or tumbler shaped vase, approximately 10-inches tall with a 6-inch opening at top.
  • 1 drinking glass, approximately 5-inches tall and 3-inches in diameter.
  • Candy cane wrapped cinnamon candies, enough to fill the glass vase.
  • 10 to 15 stems white chrysanthemum.
  • Clippers, scissors, knife and floral preservative
Directions:
Step 1 - Fill the very bottom of the vase with wrapped candies. Now insert the drinking glass into the vase.

Step 2 - Pour more pieces of the wrapped candy into the space between the vase and glass.

Step 3 - Carefully fill the drinking glass full of water that has been treated with floral preservative.

Step 4 - Now insert the fresh cut flowers. Cut them short so that just their blooms float over the rim of the container.
