
Trachelium (Throatwort)

Origins Hundreds of tiny purple, lavender, white or yellow tubular flowers bloom in flat clusters atop the tall, leafy stems of the trachelium. This Mediterranean native is also known as throatwort, a reference to its alleged ability to alleviate throat diseases. Trachelium is derived from the Greek word trachelos, for "neck."
Availability and Vase Life Year round. 7-10 days.
Design Uses Provides textural contrast in arrangements.
