Cool Evenings and Sunny Days Signal Onset of Fall!

Those cool evenings and sunny days signal the onset of colorful fall. Why not bring more color indoors with fresh cut flowers? The emphasis this fall is on warm tones - reds, yellows, and oranges. Pumpkins and gourds abound and show the harvest of plenty. Bright yellow mums accent the orange of pumpkins and bronze of gourds nicely. Simply cut a top out - even laying the gourd on its side for a different perspective - and remove the seeds. Use a piece of floral foam wetted in warm water with a measured amount of preservative. You can scale your design to tiny 2"-4" individual place settings with just three yellow mums to a grand and large centerpiece with several pumpkins of increasingly larger sizes. Use an odd number of gourds. Golden yellow and red bronze mums are striking and add a bold flavor to the table. Have some stems left over? Lay them on the table between the gourds!
