Experiment With Submerging Flowers, The Popular Trend!

Submerging flowers is a popular trend. Why not experiment on your own and see how it works! You can glue stems of some flowers directly to the bottom of the vase, using a waterproof floral adhesive. Be sure it is the kind that can be used on fresh flower stems by reading the label. You experiment with gerberas, chrysanthemums, and roses.

Snip the stem to a short length that can be easily handled and glued, but not too long. Apply the adhesive to a stem end you dried off with a paper towel and fasten to a clean, dry vase bottom. Allow the glue to dry and set for a few minutes (again, follow the label directions) before you add water. You can adhere some to the bottom of the vase and float some others on top for even more color.

A word of caution about the vase you use. The dried glue may not come off entirely when you're done with the floral display. Another method to use is to wire and tape the flower, then tie it to a decorative rock and submerge both.
