| To Keep Cool Treat Your Fresh Flowers (And Yourself) To A Float In Some Cool Water!
Some summer days, you may just want to float in some cool water, whether it is the pool, lake, or ocean. Why not treat your fresh flowers so the same treat? Flowers float best when they are light and have a large surface area, so select flatter petals for best results. Hot-summer colors of gerbera daisies look great floating in a cobalt blue bowl. Snip stems to about an inch and be sure to use a measured amount of preservative in the water. Any color of chrysanthemum would look super in a clear glass bowl. Want a more relaxed look? Take your favorite plastic bowl and float a dozen daisy mums in it. Experiment with your favorite flowers and colors and let them cool off this month.
