July should be such a bang, so start celebrating the Fourth with patriotic colors of fragrant fresh flowers! Red, white, and blue flowers can show your love of country and bring a special touch to any picnic or party. Think about red carnations, blue statice, and white pompon mums in a bud vase or pop bottle (complete with red, white, and blue logo!). Red carnations are fragrant and make quite a bold statement, so use 9 in a larger vase combined with several stems of statice and baby's breath. Tie a bright red/white/and blue ribbon around the neck of the vase and add some miniature flags for the party. Be sure each guest to your picnic has their own red or white carnation tied with a similar ribbon to take home (it will last for a few more weeks with proper care).
