Want to preserve those waning days of summer? Think (and buy) sunflowers! Those golden sunbursts can help you hang on to summer days, even if the temperature isn't hot outside. Balance the heavier flower head with glass marbles in the vase. This will provide some extra weight to keep the vase upright. Use them in groups of 3, 5, or more. Place the vase in front of a mirror to increase the visual impact. Alone they are stunning, but can be enhanced with several stems of orange standard carnations or snapdragons.
