Why do they call it dog days if the dogs can't handle the heat any better than we humans? White is about as cool a color as you can find these days. Light and airy white lilies in a tall glass vase bring a coolness to the table or desk. A few stems of white mini-carnations in an ice tea glass can prompt a similar feeling. You could even add plastic ice cubes to the glass to make the look more realistic. A single white rose bud in an elegant bud vase can be more formal, but still as cool. Think white and keep cool.
