Floating Some Fresh Flowers Is A Refreshing Way To Enjoy Summertime!

July makes me feel like floating in a pool to cool off. Why not use fresh flowers in the same refreshing way? Open flowers will float better than buds that may act like boat anchors and drop to the bottom. Fill clean bowls of bright rich colors with warm water and preservative. Snip most of the stem off fresh flowers, leaving about a half-inch to an inch remain. My favorite to float is gerberas, but some other open flowers will float too like daisy chrysanthemums or pompon chrysanthemums. Float open rose blooms for a more elegant night-time look or float bright gerberas or daisy mums for a more festive afternoon party.
