May is a time for floral abundance in the garden, but also in your home or office. There are so many colorful, affordable fresh-flower choices, it can be hard to choose. If your floral retailer sells fresh flowers by the single stem, this would be the month to try something new and different in your bouquet. Gerberas have bright, vibrant colors. Many lilies have striking colors and some have a nice scent. Add a rose or three to spice up carnations or chrysanthemums. Just as trying a new food at our favorite restaurant can open up a new era in dining, so can trying a new cut flower this month bring new pleasures to you and your vase.
