Green, green, everywhere!!

Spring continues to blossom throughout the U.S. and flowers must be a part celebrating this rite of passage out of stark winter. Bright yellow is a quick pick-me-up, so buy a stem of spray mums. There are fewer, more economical fresh-flowers on the marketplace today. Add a stem of your favorite greens (or whatever looks freshest) in your floral professional's cooler. With a measured amount of preservative in fresh water that is changed every couple of days, your small investment should last for two weeks. In a rush for time? Why not purchase a pre-made bouquet? Most colorful and a big time saver. A fun substitute for floating candles are floating flowers. Select larger flowers to float in a clear, shallow bowl or higher-sided dish. They're safer than candles and some have a pleasant scent.
