Think spring!

Nothing says spring like fresh cut flowers! They don't have to be extravagant to be refreshing. Think about buying a single carnation to bring some color and fragrance to your desktop. Try a bright, brilliant yellow for lots of visual impact at an inexpensive price. A yellow gerbera daisy or stem of yellow daisy chrysanthemums will brighten your kitchen table or work space. The color wheel can provide some ideas for great spring combinations. Two colors in opposite positions on the color wheel give a direct contrast, the brightest color combination one can make. The pink/yellow combination is bright and springy so is the yellow/lavendar combination. Using yellow carnations and pink or lavendar chrysanthemums, you can create an inexpensive arrangement. Use the 'rule of threes' if you want to create balance. Try 3 carnations and 3 stems of chrysanthemums for a nice vase arrangement. Be sure to add a measured amount of floral food to warm water for all your fresh cut flowers. Professional floral food is better than any home remedy to extending the time you have to enjoy your flowers.
